Farewell Chicago Bulls

Aug 25, 2025

Yesterday marked the final day of my summer internship with the Chicago Bulls; I feel a mix of gratitude, pride, and disbelief at how quickly these past few months have flown by.

This internship was way more than just work. It became a meaningful part of my life during a challenging season of personal growth.

Over the summer, I had the privilege of impacting over 3,000 campers across 16 locations all over Chicagoland, sending countless emails, coordinating logistics, and helping Youth Hoops Summer Camps felt like a place where every kid (and adult) could be themselves. But, beyond those numbers, it’s the moments that I will carry with me:

• Coaching a group of campers in Schaumburg during Championship Friday, leading them to the playoffs and finals while watching their confidence grow along the way

• Spending a week at the Chicago Bulls Advocate Center surrounded by pros such as Derrick Rose, Will Perdue, Randy Brown, Jevon Carter and somehow hitting a half-court shot on my first try

• Driving the Bulls van from site to site, building friendships with the coaches and the Basketball Programming team, and learning how every piece of the puzzle connects

This experience taught me to stay grounded, trust the process, and reminded me why I fell in love with basketball in the first place. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity, and a big thank you to the Basketball Programming family, coaches, and the Chicago Bulls organization for allowing me to be part of something so meaningful. This has been an experience that I will never forget and one I’ll carry with me into whatever comes next.
